We believe that whales and dolphins should swim
free, full, long lives in their ocean habitats.
We're here to educate children and adults, support
scientific inquiry and activate when necessary.

Sea Sanctuary, Inc.
. . . founded in 2000, is a grass-roots,
501c.3 non profit organization. which was established for the benefit
of whales and dolphins and their habitats.
The focus of Sea Sanctuary is to educate and activate people on behalf
of whales and dolphins and the marine systems where they live.
Particularly, we focus on two areas:
- to create and maintain sanctuary for the Eastern Pacific
(California) Gray Whale.
- to oppose cetacean captures and captive dolphin facilities
globally
What is Sea Sanctuary doing?
- Establishing a multinational network for the Eastern
Pacific Gray Whale, aka California Gray whale. Gray Whales habitat
spans the entire west coast of North America, from Russia to Canada,
the U.S., and Mexico. This network includes scientists, whale watching
captains, fishermen, schools, local governments, and caring and compassionate
humans.
- Within this network, we are educating people and taking
and directing action whenever possible. We are weaving a web of people
who love gray whales to hold the whales for our future generations.
